マラキ書 第4章 1-6 再来エリヤの仕事

マラキ書4章はヘブライ語聖書は第3章だが、
NIV、口語訳、リビングバイブルは独立している。
恐らく、新約時代の聖書は全て独立させているのでしょう。

エリヤを預言者として遣わすが、
終末におけるイエスの再臨を預言している。

“See, I will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes.
He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruction.”
見よ。
わたしは、神の大いなる恐るべき審判の日がくる前に、
エリヤのような預言者を遣わす。
彼の宣教によって、再び父と子が結び合わされ、
一つ心、一つ思いとされる。
彼らは、もし悔い改めないならわたしが来て、
この地を完全に打ち滅ぼすことを知るからだ。」

見よ、主の大いなる恐るべき日が来る前に、わたしは預言者エリヤをあなたがたにつかわす。
彼は父の心をその子供たちに向けさせ、子供たちの心をその父に向けさせる。これはわたしが来て、のろいをもってこの国を撃つことのないようにするためである」。

律法時代の最大の預言者がエリヤで、モーセやイエスに次ぐのでしょう。
エリヤの再来は救世主の再来を意味するようで、
第4章は審判の前となっているので再臨のようだ。

日本語訳では父と子が結び合わされとなっているが、
NIVでは parents と複数になっている。

欽定訳では　fathers となっていた。

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:
And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

主ではなく、この世の親のことのようだ。
エリヤの再来は親子の心を扱うようだ。
