第31章 1-30 契約の箱をかつぐレビ人

モーセは言った。

It happened, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished, that Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, saying,
"Take this book of the law, and put it by the side of the ark of the covenant of Yahweh your God, that it may be there for a witness against you.
モーセがこの律法の言葉を、ことごとく書物に書き終った時、モーセは主の契約の箱をかつぐレビびとに命じて言った、「この律法の書をとって、あなたがたの神、主の契約の箱のかたわらに置き、その所であなたにむかってあかしをするものとしなさい。

契約の箱をかつぐ人は、かつぐだけでなく中身を見ることが許されているようだ。
チラミが許されているのではなく、読むよう命令されている。

大事なモノを預かるということは、当然、中身にも責任を持つということでしょう。
