第5章 1-26 神が3部族を滅ぼした

この章ではヤコブの長男ルベンの長子の権が、
ヨセフに移譲したことが記されている。

また、ヨルダン川の東に住むこととなった3部族の末路が書かれている。

イスラエルの神は、アッスリヤの王プルの心を奮い起し、またアッスリヤの王テルガテ・ピルネセルの心を奮い起されたので、彼はついにルベンびとと、ガドびとと、マナセの半部族を捕えて行き、ハウラとハボルとハラとゴザン川のほとりに移して今日に至っている。
