第48章 1-22 神の子と理解

"Come near to me and hear this: "From the beginning I have not spoken in secret; from the time that it was, there am I." Now the Lord Yahweh has sent me, with his Spirit.
あなたがたはわたしに近寄って、これを聞け。わたしは初めから、ひそかに語らなかった。それが成った時から、わたしはそこにいたのだ」。いま主なる神は、わたしとその霊とをつかわされた。

預言者イザヤは自らを「神の子」と直接表現しなかったが、
確かに、神と自分と精霊の三位一体で捉えている。

メシアではないにしても、そう理解しているのでしょう。

第47章 1-15 突然の不幸

but these two things shall come to you in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood; in their full measure shall they come on you, in the multitude of your sorceries, and the great abundance of your enchantments.
これらの二つの事は一日のうちに、またたくまにあなたに臨む。すなわち子を失い、寡婦となる事はたといあなたが多くの魔術を行い、魔法の大いなる力をもってしてもことごとくあなたに臨む。

バビロンは奢っていたが、滅んだ。
絶頂であろうが、慢心したり傲慢になれば必ず不幸は臨む。

神に対して謙虚になるしかない。ということだ。

第46章 1-13 偶像は重荷となる

Bel bows down, Nebo stoops; their idols are on the animals, and on the livestock: the things that you carried about are made a load, a burden to the weary.
ベルは伏し、ネボはかがみ、彼らの像は獣と家畜との上にある。あなたがたが持ち歩いたものは荷となり、疲れた獣の重荷となった。

私も約40年、偶像遍歴がヤヤあり、懲りた。
今から考えたら、重いですよ。

第45章 1-25 神の働き

神は捕囚されたユダヤ人を救うため、ペルシャのクロス王を使った。

I am Yahweh, and there is none else. Besides me, there is no God. I will strengthen {or, equip} you, though you have not known me;
わたしは主である。わたしのほかに神はない、ひとりもない。あなたがわたしを知らなくても、わたしはあなたを強くする。

今日でも、クリスチャン以外の者に力を注入する場合もあるのでしょう。
キリスト教以外の宗教の教祖でも、神の働きによる場合もあると私は思いますね。
むろん、例外的でしょうが。

第44章 1-28 神と等しい者

大日本帝国は宗教弾圧を行った。

天皇とイエスのどちらが偉いのか、という愚かな問いを発し、
信仰に徹した教団を弾圧した。

This is what Yahweh, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, Yahweh of Armies, says: "I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God.
Who is like me? Who will call, and will declare it, and set it in order for me, since I established the ancient people? Let them declare the things that are coming, and that will happen.
主、イスラエルの王、イスラエルをあがなう者、万軍の主はこう言われる、「わたしは初めであり、わたしは終りである。わたしのほかに神はない。だれかわたしに等しい者があるか。その者はそれを示し、またそれを告げ、わが前に言いつらねよ。だれが、昔から、きたるべき事を聞かせたか。その者はやがて成るべき事をわれわれに告げよ。

神やイエスより上位に置いた者は、必ず罰せられる。
必然だった。

あなたがたをあがなう者、イスラエルの聖者、主はこう言われる、「あなたがたのために、わたしは人をバビロンにつかわし、すべての貫の木をこわし、カルデヤびとの喜びの声を嘆きに変らせる。

ペルシャのクロスをバビロンに遣わすとのことだ。
カルデアはバビロンの人々のことだそうだ。

全てが預言された計画だった。

第42章 1-25 罪と罰

Who gave Jacob as plunder, and Israel to the robbers? Didn't Yahweh, he against whom we have sinned? For they would not walk in his ways, and they disobeyed his law.
ヤコブを奪わせた者はだれか。かすめる者にイスラエルをわたした者はだれか。これは主ではないか。われわれは主にむかって罪を犯し、その道に歩むことを好まず、またその教に従うことを好まなかった。

罰を与える主体はヤーヴェだった。
神に対する罪が、個人の身であれ国であれ災いが与えられる。

不幸を他人に恨みがちではあるが、己の罪に対する神の罰であることもある。

第41章 1-29 預言者がいない

When I look, there is no man; even among them there is no counselor who, when I ask of them, can answer a word.
しかし、わたしが見ると、ひとりもない。彼らのなかには、わたしが尋ねても答えうる助言者はひとりもない。

預言者が国に1人もいなくなると、滅ぶ。
現代でも、そういうものでしょう。

第40章 1-31 主の御前に

Even the youths faint and get weary, and the young men utterly fall;
But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint.
年若い者も弱り、かつ疲れ、壮年の者も疲れはてて倒れる。
しかし主を待ち望む者は新たなる力を得、わしのように翼をはって、のぼることができる。走っても疲れることなく、歩いても弱ることはない。
----

動画が拾えなかったが、「主の御前に」という讃美歌がある。（by 野村淳）
まさに、この節の内容で、元気が出る歌だった。

主を前にする時、年齢なぞ関係ない。

第39章 1-8 オープンマインド？

Hezekiah was pleased with them, and showed them the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, the spices, and the precious oil, and all the house of his armor, and all that was found in his treasures. There was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah didn't show them.
ヒゼキヤは彼らを喜び迎えて、宝物の蔵、金銀、香料、貴重な油および武器倉、ならびにその倉庫にあるすべての物を彼らに見せた。家にある物も、国にある物も、ヒゼキヤが彼らに見せない物は一つもなかった。

たとえ、相手との力関係で優位であろうが、何もかもさらけ出せば、
「取ってくれ」と言わんばかりである。

見た方は、「どうせ何もできないだろう」と見くびられたと受けとる。

隠すものが無かろうと、何かあると思わせることも必要だろう。
